Subsidy Installation

Subsidy

Grants are not taxed. Grants for rehabilitation (RD853/2021) are exempt from income tax, as set out in Royal Decree-Law 19/2021 on urgent measures to boost building refurbishment activity in the context of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. This RDL also includes and regulates the tax deductions for energy efficiency improvement works, which can be taken advantage of when carrying out energy refurbishment.

At Iberdrola we take care of compiling and generating all the technical and administrative documentation necessary to manage and apply for energy rehabilitation grants, and we also advance you the grant once it has been pre-approved.

RD853/2021 requires reducing energy demand and consumption according to minimum percentages that vary depending on the climate zone where the home is located. We will carry out a customised study of your home to create a tailor-made proposal that meets the requirements of the subsidy.

The public administration has a period of 3-6 months to decide and notify its award after the grant is applied for. Once the grant has been pre-approved, we will start to carry out the rehabilitation of your home.

Installation

Aerothermal energy works with both underfloor heating and radiators. Simply put, if you have radiators, aerothermy will operate at a lower temperature than at present, but you will have the same thermal comfort.With radiators, we recommend Smart Insulation, to keep the heat in your home for as long as possible. Insulate yourself from the cold in winter, the heat in summer and from noise all year round. In addition, you will get a higher performance from your aerothermy.

With Iberdrola's Energy Rehabilitation, we achieve the perfect interaction between your solar production and the consumption of aerothermal energy. The energy from the sun that you are not going to consume will be used to heat a water tank, which stores the thermal energy for when you use the domestic hot water (DHW) or heating.

You can set up “off-grid” self-consumption installations, but this does not usually make economic or environmental sense where a grid connection is already available. An “off-grid” installation requires not only a greater number of panels, but also the installation of sufficient batteries to store the energy you will consume overnight. All of this makes an “off-grid” installation considerably more expensive than an installation connected to the grid.
